Calum Wallis is a visual artist based in Dundee, Scotland. His practice is centred around a fascination with drawing. While this includes all facets of the medium his primary interest is nature.

Calum’s drawings are conceived on trips in the wild, where time is spent in peaceful observation of the landscape; sitting, sketching and photographing details and changes of light as they emerge. During this time he tries to learn his subjects in their original context, dissecting what he finds pleasing about one of nature’s unintentional drawings before creating his own in homage.

Here you will find a portfolio of Calum’s drawings, prints and sketches, as well as photographs documenting various artistic expeditions.
